Archaeological monitoring of a 7om section of pipe laying took place within the road take and up to a depth of 1.1m with trench width of 0.6m. Beneath the road surface and bedding, clause 804 and sands were encountered and associated with an adjacent gas mains. No archaeology was encountered.
