Archaeological monitoring of Phase 3 quarry extension took place on 11 and 12 June 2026. It entailed archaeological supervision of topsoil stripping over a 12,000 square metre area. The topsoil was stripped to a depth of between 0.2m and 0.4m to expose the surface of the underlying subsoil, which consisted of  yellow sandy clay natural subsoil to mid-brown to orange gravel and sandy silt. No archaeology was encountered.
