Archaeological monitoring of Uisce Éireann 370m watermains replacement took place in April and June. The works involved open-cut trench excavation of 0.8m to 1m in width and up to to 1.2m in depth. The exposed stratigraphy consisted of road surface and associated bedding layers, onto natural subsoils with rising bedrock. The trench was frequently truncated with existing services. No archaeology was encountered.
