Archaeological monitoring of a 5.7km Uisce Éireann watermains scheme was undertaken between December 2025 and May 2026. The works involved archaeological supervision of a combination of open-cut trench and pit excavation. Preceding archaeological assessment identified five locations of archaeological potential. Monitoring occurred continuously within these areas and spot checks took place in the remainder of the scheme.
