Monitoring of groundworks associated with the proposed foul drainage was carried out in February and March 2026 within a greenfield site. The excavation of service trenches around and from the house was monitored along with the area of the wastewater system.
The wastewater drainage trenches, measuring 0.5m in width, were excavated to an average depth of 0.55m. The sod and topsoil measured a maximum of 0.55m in thickness and lay directly above the natural orange sandy clay. No archaeological features were exposed or identified.
