Archaeological test excavation in advance of single residential development in a greenfield site took place in the Zone of Notification for a ringfort, LA027-010. The exposed subsoil consisted of yellow to pale orange silty sand with frequent inclusions of decayed and undecayed stone. No archaeology was encountered.
