Archaeological Monitoring of groundworks related to watermains upgrade from the connection of the Thomastown Primary Care Centre to Maudlin Street/Pipe Street along Abbey Hill took place between 12 and 23 January 2026. The 228m-long trench achieves 1.4m in depth on to previous cast iron watermains. No archaeology was encountered.
