The aim of the programme of archaeological testing was to investigate features of archaeological potential noted during a programme of geophysical survey carried out under licence 25R0193 and to confirm the results of the programme of geophysical survey in areas where no potential archaeological features were noted.
A total of 29 linear test trenches, with a combined length of c.1194m, were excavated. No potential archaeological finds, features or deposits were identified during the programme of test trenching. Anomalies interpreted as potentially archaeological in nature during geophysical survey, were found to be either the result of modern agriculture activity or natural geological variation.
