Archaeological monitoring was recommended as a condition of planning for upgrade works to the existing waste water treatment facility for Newmarket on Fergus. A full archaeological presence was maintained during trenching operations on the roadside within the zones of notification for three archaeological monuments located close to the public road. No features or finds of archaeological significance were found in any of the supervised areas.
