Archaeological test excavations and monitoring were carried out on a site at Seapoint Road, Bray in 2025. The site was located on the north side of Seapoint Road, adjacent to and east of Milton Terrace, and just south of the River Dargle. It consisted of several abandoned industrial-type buildings and a car park.
In total, five test trenches were excavated with a sum total length of 84m. The natural ground was found in some parts of the site, mainly the southwest. It comprised compact, mid- to dark-yellowish-orange and greyish-brown boulder clay. In other parts, the site was found to contain large areas of made-up ground and layers of rubble, especially in the northeast. This material exceeded 1.5m in depth in some areas. The remains of stone and brick walls were exposed, along with a small patch of cobbled surface and the remains of industrial structures such as a metal tank. No archaeological features or artefacts were uncovered
