Monitoring was carried out at Raheenagurren, Gorey, for the replacement of two ESB poles (P28 and P28A) within proximity of a Recorded Monument (WX12-002—). Two holes were excavated by a mechanical excavator directly to the east and west boundaries of the monument. Both holes were excavated to a depth of c. 1.3m onto a dark brown, firm natural. No archaeological features or artefacts were found during the excavation of both holes. There is no known impact on archaeological features from this development. No further mitigation is required.
