Archaeological test excavation took place as part of retention for unauthorised development. A single 30m test trench was excavated under archaeological supervision adjacent to the the building subject to retention. Excavated soils revealed a 0.75m to 1m deep topsoil horizon over the revealed natural subsoil. No archaeology was encountered.
