Testing was undertaken at the rear of a property in Dunnamona, County Westmeath. The 19th-century dwelling is located on the eastern side of a large (60m internal diameter) enclosure, WM023- 015.
Testing confirmed that previous works by a different owner within the site have resulted in damage of archaeological remains. One sterile curvilinear feature and two drainage features were identified. Part of the original bank may survive at the east of the site.
Any future works on the site should undergo archaeological monitoring.
