Archaeological montoring was carried out between 27 July and 3 October 2025 in relation to the mains rehabilitation and connection transfer of existing and proposed foul sewer at New Way and Castle Avenue, Lismore. C. 500m of exisitng mains ducts and connecting spurs were excavated, all situatated within the road area. The exposed stratigraphy principally consisted of the road surface, bedding layers and natural subsoils. Occassional 19th- to 20th-century mixed debris deposits were recorded. No archaeology was encountered.
