Archaeological monitoring of the site was carried out over several days from August to November 2025. The removal of topsoil and other groundworks was monitored in the Field 2 and Field 3 areas of the site. Other areas of the site were archaeologically monitored before this phase of monitoring.
The site had been subject to a geophysical survey (25R0115), which identified several possible anomalies. Monitoring of groundworks on the site was subsequently recommended.
The natural ground was found to be a compact, mid-yellowish grey boulder clay with pockets of peat in some areas. The topsoil ranged in depth from 0.1m to 0.2m. No archaeological features or artefacts were found during monitoring of the site.
