Monitoring for the Strokestown Public Realm Enhancement Project began on 17 November 2025. The works paused on 12 December for Christmas and will resume in the New Year.

Three post-medieval stone-lined drains have been identified during trenching works on Bawn Street. Two large post-medieval pits were also identified on Bawn Street. Both were c. 1.6m in depth and were 1.9-2.5m in length. Further information on the pits may be revealed as additional works take place next year.
