As per the previously submitted method statement, metal detection was undertaken during Stage (i)d Underwater/Wade survey. No objects of archaeological interest, or objects associated with the possible 17th–18th-century iron mill at Mullenmore North, were identified. All metal finds identified during the metal detector survey were modern in nature and were found within the wade survey areas U01–U03. No metal finds were identified within the wade survey areas U04 and U05. The metal finds varied in nature from bits of modern steel wire, a modern spoon, fragments of tin and aluminium cans, a battery, parts of cars and an iron gate. All metal finds were recovered from between the riverbed surface and 0.15m depth. None of the finds were retained.
