2025:540 - Ballygrennan, Limerick

Archaeological Management Solutions (AMS) were engaged to undertake archaeological monitoring as a condition of planning permission. The site contained no Recorded Monuments/recorded archaeological sites or sites of architectural heritage interest.
Monitoring identified recent agricultural activity and a field boundary along with modern domestic rubbish and evidence of modern temporary stables. A field boundary recorded on nineteenth-century mapping was also noted in the topsoil strip for the haul road. No archaeologically significant finds or features were revealed. No further archaeological work was recommended
