Monitoring occurred on a phased basis. In November 2024, the ground of the site development was reduced between 0.4m and 1.7m. The ground was made-up and comprised a silty clay with modern debris. Drainage works took place in October 2025. A long zigzag-shaped water trench was excavated along Collins Park south of the newly constructed development. It was 2m wide and 2.2m deep. It cut through tarmac for a depth of 0.1m; hardcore gravel lay beneath the tarmac for a depth of 0.4m and then a compact orangish-brown silty clay natural.  The natural was exposed in a trench along Collins Park when the trench ran north to south. As the trench turned west to the front of the houses, the ground became disturbed, and the natural soil was not seen for a depth of 2.2m. An east to west aligned wall was recorded in the trench, just prior to turning left. It had a maximum depth of 0.8m, had 5 courses of stone and was bonded with concrete, dating it to the modern period.

No archaeological structures, features or deposits were identified during the course of monitoring. The groundworks are now complete.
