An archaeological test excavation was undertaken at the location for a proposed extension to the waste water treatment facility in Fenit. Ten test trenches were excavated across the area proposed for development and two features of potential archaeological significance were exposed in the south-west corner of the lands proposed for development. These comprised a shallow linear feature (ARC1) and a spread of organic material containing marine mollusc shells and animal bone
(ARC2). These features may be associated with a potential enclosure located 100m to the south of the existing WWTP.
