Archaeological monitoring of ground disturbance associated with footpath upgrade works on McDonald’s Lane, Church Street and Clarke Street was completed between 13 October and 24 November 2025. A stone culvert was recorded on the north side of Clarke Street at a depth of 0.25m below the surface. It runs roughly north-west/south-east along the north side of the road. No finds of archaeological significance were encountered in the course of monitoring.
