Archaeological excavation of a spread containing cremated bone identified during archaeological testing in 2024 was carried out when planning permission was granted for the development. The spread (1.15m east-west x 1.05m x 0.09m deep) was of sandy silty clay with occasional charcoal and cremated bone. The bone will be sent for specialist analysis.
