Six trenches were excavated across the subject site proposed for the construction of a dwelling house. The site was a pair of hilly fields field under short grass, adjacent to Ennistymon District Hospital (formerly Ennistymon Union Workhouse No archaeological features were encountered. A metal detector (25R0370) was used on the spoil from the trenches. No artefacts were recovered.
