Archaeological test trenching was conducted on 25 January at The Plots, Rathnapish, Carlow Town, County Carlow. The investigation was carried out in preparation for the construction of a full-size astro pitch, including floodlighting, sports fencing, ball stop netting, and associated site works.
A total of 115 meters of test trenches were excavated. No archaeological finds or features of significance were identified in the two trenches excavated.
