Test trenching and metal detection was carried out on 5th and 6th March 2024, in the townland of Coolcoots and Ballindas, Co. Wexford (Licence 24E0308, Detection Device 24R0192). The test trenching and metal detection survey took place to confirm the presence/absence of archaeological features based on the results of a geophysical survey. The geophysical anomalies were geological in origin and no finds or features of archaeological significance were exposed in any of the test trenches excavated.
