Archaeological monitoring associated with the grant of planning permission for the construction of a dwelling house and associated site works was undertaken at Coolataggle, Borrisoleigh. There is a ringfort c. 20m to the northeast of the development site.
During the course of the monitoring of ground works nothing was uncovered that could be associated with the nearby monument. All that was exposed was a water pipe trench and occasional pockets of dumping of scrap plastic and metal associated with a nearby car-sales garage.
