Archaeological monitoring was carried out of a housing development.  The topsoil varied from 0.25m central to the site to 0.4m by the site boundaries. The natural subsoil consisted of orange silty clay with frequent limestone inclusions (decayed and undecayed). Occasional rising bedrock protruded from the subsoil within the central and south-east central section of the site. No archaeology was encountered during the groundworks.
