Seven Test trenches were excavated by mechanical digger, totalling 400 linear metres of trenches, in two adjacent enclosures, in advance of the construction of a Poultry facility. Trenches had a general depth of 0.3-0.4m. In each case, the soil profile was similar, and consisted of 0.2-0.3m of sod and mid-brown silty topsoil, which came onto  0.1-0.2m of light brown/yellow silty subsoil with moderately occurring rounded stones.

A field drain was observed in Trenches 1, 2, 6 & 7.

No material of an archaeological nature, finds or features was observed in the trenches.
