A final phase of archaeological monitoring was carried out at Roestown, Co. Meath, on 1 May 2024, when the site of a proposed apartment block in the north extent of the site was topsoil-stripped. It was considered possible that a medieval trackway excavated at the adjoining site in 2019 (2019:474) might extend onto the subject site, although it had not been found during previous testing (2023:891).
Topsoil strip revealed four linear features which were investigated and found to be non-archaeological. Two were considered to be natural, and two were likely remnant agricultural features. There was no trace of the trackway recorded on the adjoining site.
