Seven trenches were excavated on site and placed across the footprint of the proposed development. The topsoil was mainly an orangish-brown silty clay, and the natural clay was yellow and grey.
No archaeological structures, features, or deposits were identified in any of the trenches. The proposed development will not impact archaeology; no further mitigation is necessary.
