Archaeological monitoring of ground works for the Crossmolina Flood Relief Scheme commenced in December 2024, with monitoring of topsoil stripping for the site compound in Cartrongilbert townland, next to the R315. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered during these works. The licence has been transferred to Bruce Sutton, Rubicon Heritage, and archaeological monitoring will continue in 2025.
