The archaeological testing was undertaken on the site of a housing development on 17 April 2024. A total of three test trenches were excavated across the site, although the trenches were cut short due to the existence of deep fill (in excess of 2m in depth) and buried electrical services. It was clear from the trenches excavated that the site has been subject to previous development and land levelling, likely to have taken place during the development of the existing houses nearby. Nothing archaeological was identified during this programme of test trenching.
