The nearest recorded monument is a graveyard (MA118-022013-) that previously contained a medieval parish church (MA118-022008-), later replaced by St Mary’s Church of Ireland. A 7m length trench was excavated within the proposed development site. No archaeological structures, features, deposits or artefacts were recorded in the trench, which was excavated to a depth of 1.18m. The proposed development site is heavily disturbed and built-up with made-up ground of stone and gravel above mottled orangish-brown sandy clay, overlying limestone bedrock.
