Archaeological assessment of this site involved the excavation of 4 test trenches. Topsoil ranged in depth from 0.2m at the south and east to 1.1m to the northwest in an area of made-up ground. The natural subsoil comprising yellow-brown sandy gravel was exposed to the west while bedrock was exposed to east of the site at 0.2m below the surface. No deposits, features or finds of an archaeological nature were exposed. The proposed development will not have any archaeological impact and should proceed as planned. No further mitigation is recommended.
