Archaeological monitoring was undertaken in advance of construction of a Golf Academy Building and golf putting areas at the University of Limerick, Dromroe, Co. Limerick. The overall development site encompasses an area of 7.67ha, however the development largely involves repurposing of the existing boathouse and above-surface golf driving bays. The only sub-surface excavation work was for an underground ESB diversion trench; it was this work that was targeted for archaeological monitoring. Monitoring works did not encounter any archaeological features, deposits or artefacts.
