The excavations along the proposed section of the Tralee Northern Relief Road, from Listellick South to Forge Cross took place from 23 September to 11 October 2024. The work involved excavating one brick clamp (C007) and remnants of two burnt spreads or fulachtaí fia (C006 and C008).  Five sherds of modern pottery were uncovered during the excavation. Among these, four sherds of 19th–20th-century pottery were found in the brick clamp, confirming its modern origin. Additionally, a single sherd of modern pottery retrieved from the fill of linear feature C013 suggests a recent origin of that feature.
