Archaeological monitoring at Clooncarrig, Killorglin, Co. Kerry was undertaken in advance of construction of a solar photovoltaic (PV) array adjacent to an existing pharmaceutical facility. Work was undertaken using a small back-acting track machine and a larger 13-tonne machine with excavated spoil removed by a small dumper truck. Topsoil throughout comprised of mid-grey silty sandy material that overlay mid-greyish yellow sandy gravel natural. Nothing of an archaeological nature was noted and no artefacts were recovered.
