Monitoring of part of the compound at the Whitefields Depot took place from December 2023 to December 2024 as part of the construction of office accommodation. No archaeological remains were identified. The stratigraphy was typically 0.35m max. hardcore or cement surface, over brown humic silty clay up to 0.3mm thick, over a stiff, gritty yellow redeposited clay with 19th-century brick, ceramic and glass inclusions which extended to a depth of approximately 0.5m. In some areas, natural ground was not reached at 1.4m depth reflecting the landscaping and storage history of the site.
