Archaeological testing was carried out over the course of seven days in March 2024 at St Teresa’s Gardens, Donore Avenue, Dublin 8, using a mechanical excavator fitted with a flat, grading bucket. A total of 28 trenches targeted open space across the development area, which had not been available during the previous phase of testing. The assessment confirmed the presence of significant extant material related to the former flats complex, particularly within the north of the site. Associated disused infrastructure related to the former complex was identified across the development area, most significantly dead water pipes traversing the centre of the site between the extant buildings and Margaret Kennedy Road. The south of the site was found to be largely sterile, with occasional evidence of modern works and water management.

No features or finds of archaeological significance were definitively identified during the course of archaeological test trenching. A single feature (C3.1) of possible archaeological significance was identified during testing; a possible post-medieval tanning pit.
