Archaeological testing followed a programme of archaeological monitoring carried out immediately adjacent to the west of the development site. Two trenches were excavated at the site targeting two shoreside pile locations. Testing was carried out in April 2024 at Custom House Quay, Dublin 1 and targeted two shoreside pile locations. Testing revealed deep deposits of modern sand associated with a concrete beam that runs along the inside of the quay wall. No finds or features of archaeological potential were identified during these works.
