Archaeological monitoring was carried out on behalf of Portmarnock Real Estate Developments Ltd, relating to a permitted strategic housing development and followed an archaeological desktop study, geophysical survey, test trenching and recording of sections of townland boundary between Portmarnock and Drumnigh and Drumnigh and Maynetown. Monitoring took place from November 11-December 6 2023 and February 12–23 2024 and no features, finds or deposits of archaeological interest were identified.
