An archaeological watching brief was undertaken of the removal of existing modern ground floor surfaces and foundations and the excavation of new foundations and service trenches. No archaeology was encountered during the watching brief but a 19th/20th-century stone-built well was uncovered. A Level 1 building survey was undertaken of the upper levels of the well which would be removed as part of the development. The remainder of the well was stabilised and preserved in situ.
