The archaeological works for the County Donegal Towns & Villages Contract 2: Buncrana & Ballybofey/Stranorlar Networks project included archaeological monitoring during the ground reduction in the townlands of Ballymacarry, Ardaravan and Ballymacarry Lower, Buncrana, County Donegal. Archaeological monitoring included intermittent monitoring of groundworks in heavily disturbed brownfield locations and full-time monitoring in greenfield areas, and was undertaken between March 2023 and August 2024. No finds, features or deposits of archaeological significance were encountered during these works.
