Archaeological monitoring of geotechnical site investigation works associated with the proposed Lifford Flood Relief Scheme was undertaken over the course of 13 days between May and November 2024. Archaeological monitoring was undertaken during the excavation of four trial pits, six horizontal core samples and eight boreholes across the scheme. Nothing of an archaeological nature was revealed during the archaeological monitoring programme.
