Two 1m x 1m trial pits were hand excavated within a proposed development boundary. The trial pits targeted the footprint of the proposed building in order to fully investigate the archaeological potential of the site. No definitive features of archaeological significance were identified during the trial pit evaluation; a layer of undated stone rubble may relate to historic demolition or ground consolidation activities within the proposed development area.
