A programme of archaeological test trenching confirmed the presence of prehistoric activity and several potential previously unrecorded archaeological deposits within the footprint of a proposed development in Ballynagard townland, Culmore, County Derry. While conjectural in the absence of full excavation, these include a curvilinear feature (possibly truncated remnant of a former ring ditch), hearths (one of which produced datable evidence in the form of prehistoric worked flint blade), possible post-/stake-holes and a post-medieval stone culvert.
