Archaeological monitoring of remaining ground works was undertaken as required in the grant of planning. Two sections of sandstone random rubble walls were exposed in the southern section of a trench for an attenuation tank. Wall 1 at the east was a 2m high, substantial east-west running wall with a return to the north at the western end. The wall was exposed for approximately 2m and was retained in situ. Wall 2 was a less substantial east-west running wall which abutted Wall 1. It collapsed shortly after it was exposed. The location of the walls may correspond with a small unnamed rectangular building within the historic distillery complex. A small portion of the mill race was exposed along the southern boundary following the removal of dense vegetation. This will be retained in situ.
