Archaeological monitoring was carried out in advance of the development of a running track and set down parking area within an existing industrial facility. Two truncated slag pit furnaces were identified 0.4m apart and approximately 15m northwest of the recorded location of the souterrain. The pits were small, approximately 0.3m diameter and 0.23m deep, and both contained a single deposit which included slag.
