Test trenching was undertaken on the route of a proposed outfall drain related to the construction of the N73 Annakisha Realignment Scheme road project. Part of the pipe route had previously been disturbed (existing drain, construction works) and did not require testing. Three test trenches with a total of 185.4 linear metres were excavated. In all cases topsoil was found to directly overlay natural geological deposits.

No archaeological features, deposits or artefacts were noted in any of the trenches.
