A programme of archaeological monitoring was carried out within the development site. Several discrete archaeological features were noted during monitoring. Excavation within Area 1 identified a burnt mound, two pits and a trough. Seventeen stake-holes were noted cutting the lower sides and base of the trough. A single pit was identified within Area 2 and Area 4 respectively. A series of pits, post-holes, stake-holes and a hearth were noted within Area 3. A hollow scraper was also recovered from within this area. Area 5 was found to contain nothing of archaeological significance. Evidence of activity associated with a fulacht fiadh was noted within Area 6. This included a deposit of likely ex situ burnt mound material within an area of heavy modern disturbance.
